Last Friday February 5, 2010, Vancouver Aquarium took part in Canstruction, a unique national sculptural competition benefiting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
In the spirit of the approaching Olympics, an Inukshuk was built out of can you guess how many cans of sustainably caught tuna & salmon care of Raincoast Trading. Check the video above of the constructing of said Inukshuk.

Over the weekend, some Tropical Waters & BC Waters Aquarist friend’s of mine did a little constructing of their own. With a little creativity, refrigeration, and frozen krill I present to you: Krillstruction!
Standing at a whopping half foot in height, no one can deny the brilliance in colour and intricate detailing.
Competitive with Canstruction? The answer is subjective. How many hungry families will it feed? This is the definitive question to be answered?
